Andrew Hosie joined PBL in October 2016 as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and has over 15 years of Risk Management, Insurance Advisory & specialized Risk Consulting experience. He was appointed PBL’s Chief Sales & Strategy Officer in January of 2017.
Andrew started his career with a global insurance broker in 2001, specializing in Risk Assessment and program design before leading their Risk Assessment Practice in 2005 and becoming their Consulting Practice’s Strategic Growth Leader in 2010. Prior to joining PBL, Andrew was the Canadian Risk Consulting Leader of another global insurance broker providing risk management services across numerous industries including Retail; Manufacturing; Transportation & Logistics; Professional Services, Non-Profit & Association, Real Estate, and; Sports & Hospitality.
At PBL, Andrew is focused on enhancing PBL’s collaborative & integrated services; improved brand recognition; strategic partnerships with carriers, vendors and 3rd party risk management providers as well as the overall sustainability of PBL’s Commercial, Personal Lines & Benefit Businesses. In addition to his primary role, Andrew’s expertise in conducting corporate & enterprise-wide risk assessments; identifying risks and using risk profiles to design appropriate risk management & insurance programs affords PBL clients a consultative approach to service.
Andrew has presented to numerous Associations and Conferences on Enterprise Risk Management; Risk Assessment & Control; Captives & Alternative Risk Financing and; Holistic Risk Management. He currently instructs on Risk Management Foundations at The University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies’ Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Program through The Global Risk Management Institute.
